This is part of an autobiography I did in grade 8. I thought it was somewhat interesting...

What's In a Name?

Heathers are described to be sensitive, artistic and good listeners. Literally, it means flower, as heather is a flower in Scotland/Europe. My suggested character quality is "joyful sprit." I also have a suggested bible verse, Isaiah 12:3, "With joy, therefore, will you draw water from the water of salvation."

My middle name, Christine, means "follower of Christ." Although my parents didn't consider this, they chose it because it was the middle name of my grandmother, my father's mother. I really like the name, the meaning, and the bible verse: "My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me." (Psalm 63:8).

Adding these meanings up, my full name describes a lot about me. I am a joyful spirit who follows Christ and draws water from the fountain of salvation.
