Would you ever consider a Christy Miller Series layout? Using the
pictures off the books?
Maybe. I find it hard to make nice layouts with book covers, though, because there's lots of text and the picture quality isn't so great. (In the meantime, you can check out my layout at the

Will they bring back Jess to "Gilmore Girls"?
LoL. I'd be very surprised if they did. Maybe he'll come back for a small cameo in an episode or two, but I don't think he'll come back permanently. It's too bad, 'cause he was my favourite guy - he and Rory were so great! Logan is okay, but I still prefer Jess.
Which Audrey Hepburn Movie should I watch. I need help.

Hey I have a youth group too, but on Wednesday night's. How big is it? We have about 55 to 65, sometimes more. And the pizza drop-in seem cool.

I'm trying to start a website but so far the only good hosts require
FTP knowledge. How did you learn FTP? It looks SO confusing!
I just kind of taught myself, I guess... it wasn't very confusing. You just type in your html on a text edit program (like Notepad) and then, once you've logged into the proper FTP account, you just upload the file. I hope this helps, but I'm not very good at explaining it.

Neither... this is just my own personal site (with my journal and other what-nots). It was just the layout that had them on it.

Are you always really busy? I am not...hehe
Not really, lol. To some people I may not be that busy, but I'm a lot busier right now than I am normally. There have been some hectic times trying to plan aound my new work schedule, and now I'm getting ready to go to camp (as a "cabin leader") so right now I am pretty busy. :)

Not really. Usually I'll have an idea of where I want to get a pic, like if I'm looking for a specific celeb, but there's not usually one site. You can check out my

I'd love to, so long as the person knows enough HTML. I have a layout shop site I'm working on, and there will be a request form there. If there are too many requests - too high a demand - I'd have to close it, whether it be permanently or temporarily.

I don't remember! I've had a lot of really weird dreams but nothing I would call beautiful.
What kind of cats do you have? How old are they?
Both cats are mixed breeds. One is white with black tabby patches (Sweetie) and the other one is brown, almost a penny colour (Penny). Sweetie is 8 and Penny is 7.
What's your favourite subject or school-related thing to do?
My favourite subject is English. I like writing stories on my own, and sometimes some poems but I haven't written anything in awhile.
What is the main gift God has given you?
I don't know. I think it's my ability to sing and play the piano (not at the same time, though... at least not yet).
If you could travel travel through the time, when would you like to be?
My favourite time period is the Victorian era, so I'd love to visit there. It would also be lovely to visit the Renaissance and be a princess, but mostly I'd love to go the Victorian era and be all dressed up and go to balls, etc. (I'm such a girly girl, can you tell?) And then there's the obvious one which I almost forgot, and while it may sound corny, it would be amazing to go back to Bible times. I'd
love to see Jesus perform all his miracles and to listen to his teachings firsthand.

I'm not sure of all of the places I'd like to go to, but some of them would be Paris and London, then Italy and Sweden.

character?
Hmmm... Rachel, I think. I don't know why. But I am a big Ross and Rachel 'shipper. I really like everyone, though. Phoebe and Joey are so funny, and so is Chandler. Chandler and Monica are so great together. But again, I think Rachel's my fave.
Have you ever been to Europe?
No, but there's going to be a trip to England in grade 12 with the music department at my school... I'm looking forward to that. I'd love to travel Europe more, too, like Christy Miller in "Until Tomorrow." (Great book!)
Have you ever met anyone famous?
Actually, yes. Has anyone ever heard of the awesome Christian band called
Jake? They're a trio of brothers from Alberta (I think it's Alberta). Anyway, I've been to two of their concerts, and I got their autographs and I have pics! I suppose I could put some up, but there's not many and they're not too good. I also met
Starfield at the second concert -- they're awesome, too! (I'm actually listening to one of their songs now.) I've also met Rueben "Hurricane" Carter at the Sports Celebrity Festival -- my elemantary school choir sang there once, and I have his autograph.
Have you ever been to the United States?
Yes, I have. For the past few years, my family and I have been spending our March Break in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We drive down, so we also get to see the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Last year we stopped to see friends in Virginia, and also toured around Washington, D.C. It was neat to see the landmarks, like the Whitehouse, the Capital, and the Lincoln Monument.
What do you think is your biggest flaw?
I don't know, I feel like I have a lot. A big one, though, is my procrastination habit. I'm absolutely horrible at planning my time [for homework], especially when I have big projects. Then, the night before, I get so stressed out and then I feel horribly sick. I also don't do my best in my work. And that's a horrible feeling: knowing that my marks could be so much better if I only put the effort into it instead of rushing to get it done. It's just that when I should be doing a little bit each night, I just skip it and spend my time doing something fun, instead. This may seem to be a little thing, but it's pretty big - life would be better if I just spent more time on homework. (And even though I know this and am constantly reminded of it, I still fall into the same procrastinating patterns.)
How did you come about making this site? What was your purpose for
making it?
Hmmm... I started making my site when I was about 10 or 11 (so I guess around 1998/99), although I suppose the site I first made isn't really Peculiar Treasure. My friend, Jenn, first introduced me to web design, and I started on Expage. I suppose I started 'cause I thought it was fun to have my own little corner on the Web. Now, I make a site to express myself and share my faith with others. I also have things for the visitor to enjoy, like the little stories and jokes, as well as free stuff. I'd like to get to know other Christian teens around the Web. If you want to know more, I'll be putting up a site history soon, but meanwhile you can check out the
past layouts I've made.
Any advice on making a web site? Specifically on web design?
Basically, keep it simple. Make sure your site is easy to navigate. It's great to have a lot of content for the visitor, too, depending on what kind of site you have. Also, the graphics are pretty important, because they make up a lot of the visual aspect. Good graphic skills come with practise, so keep at it. As far as how many you have, stick with the "keep it simple" rule. If you're just starting out, make one graphic (perhaps in a rectangle shape with a border - borders are good) and centre your site (html/text) around that. If you'd like some ideas, or just want a nice layout, check out my
Layout Shop. Oh, and one more thing - BE CREATIVE, UNIQUE, AND DON'T STEAL! (I think I'll put up a "Site Tips" page soon, too, although you can find them on most sites already, like
OrdinaryGirl.net.)
Who are your favourite singers?
Oh, I have a lot! My absolute fave group is
ZOEgirl. I also really, really, like
Mandy Moore,
Stacie Orrico, and so many more. I just feel like if I put some up as faves, I need to list everyone I like.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm not really sure right now, but I ultimately want to be what God wants me to be. I think I want to be something that has to do with either writing or music. Maybe a novelist. I also think I'd enjoy being a web designer, since that's what I spend most of my free time doing, anyway. I'm hoping my Career studies class next semester will help me explore more choices and help to narrow down my possible careers.
Do you have any ambitions for your future?
Actually, I've just been thinking about this recently. I've realized that I need some goals for my future/life, instead of just doing as little homework as possible and spending all my time on the computer. I want to go to university and have a career that I really love. (As previous mentioned, I'm not sure what that is yet.) I want to live my life for God and show others his love. I'm not too good at that right now, though, because I'm so quiet and shy. I can't think of any other specific ambitions yet, other than I aim to do my best in school and get an average of over ... 87%. Maybe even 90. I think 90 is a good goal for me.
Do you have a tagboard?
No, I do not, but I could put one up if enough people want one. (Let me know in my
guestbook.)
What is your biggest fear?
Honestly, I have no idea. Wait -- I'm really scared of having to have an operation. And getting really sick. (I guess it's more the other way around.) But it's not like I'm obsessive about it. It's just the thought of that happening kinda scares me. Little fears of mine are spiders and -- bees! That's probably one of my biggest fears. It's not really that bad, and I'm getting better. I just don't like them invading my "personal space bubble". Then I have to move and get away from them. My bro really teases me for this, but compared to some others I've seen, I'm not really that bad [as far as how I react].
Did you buy any software to design your site?
Actually, I didn't but I almost did. I was lucky enough to get the HTML text creator and the FTP uploader free. I use BBEdit Lite for the HTML which I found on the internet for free (via
Download.com and searching "HTML"). My dad is a graphic designer and her already had Fetch, so he brought it home for me. It's an older version, though, Fetch 3.0.3. (You can also download a free trial via
Download.com.) I also use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for making the graphics.
Who's your celebrity crush?
Hmmmm... I really don't have a serious celeb crush, but I guess the closest thing would be Hayden Christensen. But really, it's mostly based on looks. I mean, I don't really know much about him and his personality, but isn't he cute? Hayden's a good actor, too. I liked him in "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" (long name!). But another really cool thing is that he grew up in a town not far from mine. I don't want to be specific (as far as location goes), but I find that really neat. Even still, I wouldn't call this a crush, but I like him as an actor, and he
is cute.
